My father had a golf club in my hand since I can remember and I still can't hit the ball how I want to. I love to play golf and I think one needs to have the most skills to play golf.
I used to hate soccer when I first got to Costa Rica, now it's grown on me like that rash Judge was talking about earlier. These guys on ESPN playing soccer all day have got some serious skills as well. Besides these, what sports does one need to have the most skills in?

Ball Rash, I didn't even think of that, thank you. I've never tried but I've been told you do need some skills to surf.

Without question - Soccer.

This is because no other sport has near the competition as soccer. There isn't a financial requirement to play (like golf & hockey), size doesn't matter (football & basketball) & there are no specialty player like baseball (DH, relief pitch, etc ..)

Soccer is a combination of speed, skill & strategy like no other sport.

That said - I still suck at it

Hey Judge...
quote:
Hittin it.

You beat me to it buddy! Most of the skill comes in to play during the courting. You know..Jacket over the puddle type shit. That being said I voted for Golf..I think Hockey takes a lot of skill too since I suck at Ice Skating.

BHB, Lander.......overall.......basketball requires the most skill and athleticism.....No comparison, basketball players are best overall athletes in the world.....at least in the U.S. they are!....

If you can play basketball, your at least "pretty good" at other sports....That cant be said for the other sports..

I see your point Hache man. I guess there is a lot to consider too. Golfers and volleyball players are definitely not as physically fit as football, baseball or basketball players IMO.

Hitting a baseball in MLB is by far the most single most difficult sports skill to master...

BeverlyHillsBookie - Your question was about SKILL not strength or stamina etc.

So if we are talking about Skill then it has to do with Body Mechanics

Body Mechanic wise it would definatly be GOLF & BASEBALL.
No other sport listed involves as much Body Mechanics training and conditioning as these 2 sports on your list.
